What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Server Part-Time position at Olympic Club?
The Olympic Club, a premier athletic and country club in San Francisco, is seeking candidates for Server position at our Lakeside Clubhouse! The Olympic Club, a historic private country club in San Francisco, is seeking a professional, efficient and customer service-oriented Food Server to take food and beverage orders and serve members and guests.
This is a Union Local 2 Union position and membership is required for all service positions. Scheduling is based upon position seniority with shifts being assigned according to operational needs for lunch, dinner, and banquet events. Reports to the Food and Beverage Manager.
Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To the Following:
- A La Carte and banquet service(s) (plated, buffet, and cocktail style)
- Take food and beverage orders
- Food running
- Interact with members and guests
- Execute fine and casual dining service
- Point of sale competency (Prior experience with Northstar a plus!)
- Replenish table settings as needed, complete side work
- Complete other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Must have 1-2 year previous serving experience in an ALC dining restaurant, hotel, club, or similar outlet (private club experience a plus!)
- Must be a team player
- Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to effectively communicate in English
- Flexible schedule is required, with availability to work holidays, weekends, and evenings
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, work independently and have attention to detail
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Local 2 membership (include perks of the union)
