Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee critical areas and detect potential threats
- Manage access control by verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if certified
- Enforce security policies and procedures while managing conflicts with professionalism and calmness
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or investigations
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incident reports, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping
Requirements
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Certification in first aid, CPR, or conflict management is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Strong surveillance skills with familiarity using CCTV systems and other security technology
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while effectively managing conflicts or emergencies
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and the public
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond swiftly when needed
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a high school diploma or GED and be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to drive with valid driver’s license and have your own vehicle
- Be willing to participate in Olympia Security Group’s pre-employment process, which may include drug testing and full background investigation, including motor vehicle driving record and child abuse clearances
- Neat and professional appearance and demeanor
- Job sites may vary and travel to multiple locations may be required
- Starting pay rate ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 for unarmed security based on several factors. Exponential increased growth in payrate is readily available and achievable. A rank system is used in the company, and as one moves up in rank, the pay rate increases.
- All 235 Certified Officers who are working unarmed security details will earn a higher payrate while working unarmed security, compared to the non235 Officers.
