Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for their appointments by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and ensure a smooth operation of the clinic.
- Relay patient results and instructions as directed by providers.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
Skills
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in administering injections.
Requirements
- Active, unincumbered Certified Medical Assistant certification from an accredited institution
- Active BLS/CPR card
