Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth across our retail operations. In this role, you will develop strategic sales initiatives, oversee daily store activities, and foster a high-performance environment focused on exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the sales team to meet or exceed sales targets through effective coaching, training, and performance management.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company goals, including promotional campaigns and merchandising plans.
- Oversee daily store operations, including cash handling, cashiering, inventory management, and POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Manage staffing schedules, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and training & development programs to build a skilled team.
- Monitor inventory levels, control stock rotation, and coordinate purchasing to optimize product availability while minimizing waste.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing escalated issues promptly and maintaining high standards of communication skills and phone etiquette.
- Implement retail math principles for budgeting, pricing strategies, retail sales analysis, and store financial performance tracking.
- Supervise store safety protocols, cash handling procedures, and compliance with organizational policies to maintain a secure shopping environment.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional activities that increase foot traffic and sales volume.
- Maintain organized records of payroll, bookkeeping, inventory reports, and shift management documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or sales management with supervisory or assistant manager experience preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across diverse functions such as merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and customer service.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing techniques, recruiting strategies, and training & development practices.
- Proficiency in inventory control systems, POS technology, purchasing procedures, retail math calculations, and store management software.
- Experience with budgeting processes, marketing initiatives, pricing strategies, and retail sales analysis.
- Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus but not required.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in bookkeeping and administrative tasks.
