What are the Victory Learning Center Programs? 

Victory Learning Center programs offer specialized educational services for students who are diagnosed with Autism or a Cognitive Disability paired with a mental-health diagnosis. There are three separate sites conveniently located in Lackawanna, NY, with a fourth opening in January 2027. Our sites service students ages 5-21, who are residentially placed or are referred through their local school district's Committee on Special Education.

Special Education Teacher

*$10,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!!*

The Special Education Teacher plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and/or mental illness in a variety of educational settings. The person in this position is responsible for creation and oversight of an instructional environment utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis methodology. 

• Salary Pay Rate: $61,800- $85,000
• Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor`s Degree in Education, however a Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum Experience: 3-5 years’ experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.  Previous working experience working with Autistic clients preferred, but not required.
  • Required License/Certification: NYS Teaching Certification in Students with Disabilities 
    • If uncertified, must obtain NYS Teaching Certification in Students with Disabilities within 2 years of hire date

Physical Education Teacher

The Physical Education Teacher plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students in a variety of educational settings. The person in this position is responsible for creating a supportive environment where students of all abilities can participate in physical activities, improve motor skills, and enhance physical fitness.

• Salary Pay Rate: $72,000- $90,000
• Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: Physical Education & Health Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of experience is required. 1-2 years of working with individuals with Autism, Intellectual Disability and/or mental health involvement is preferred.
  • Required License/Certification: Initial NYS Teaching Certification in Physical Education

Music Teacher 

*$10,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!!*

The Music Teacher plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and/or mental illness in a variety of educational settings.  The person in this position is responsible for creating flexible program and learnings environment that provides specialized activities in Music for students with disabilities.

• Salary Pay Rate: $72,000- $90,000
• Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree 
  • Minimum Experience: 1-2 years teaching experience. 1-2 years working with individuals with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and/or mental health involvement. (Preferred)
  • Required License/Certification: Initial NYS Teacher Certification in Music Education

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

*$10,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!!*

Provide speech/language therapy services to individuals with Autism, Intellectual Disability and/or mental illness as outlined in their Individual Education Plan.  Services are to be provided in accordance with New York State practice act guidelines for Speech/Language Therapy Services, the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association as well as in accordance with all company, state and federal standards and regulations; as well as within all regulations and requirements set forth by the organizations with which the company collaborates. 

• Salary Pay Rate: $80,000 - $91,000
• Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology/Communication Disorders
    
  • Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of experience is required
  • Required License/Certification:  
  • • Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped Certification in NYS
    • Valid NYS SLP Licensure
    • Valid NYS Driver’s License

Creative Arts Therapist 

$10,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!!

The Creative Arts Therapist uses the creative process of art and/or music making to improve and enhance the physical, mental and emotional well-being of youth with Autism, Intellectual Disability, and/or mental illness. It is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people to resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness and achieve insight.  This position will work within the educational environment.

• Salary Pay Rate: $72,000- $90,000
• Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Art, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Education, Mental Health or related field
  • Minimum Experience:
    • One (1) year prior experience working with individuals with special needs
    • 1-2 years in Art and/or Music Therapy or related field preferred.
  • Required License/Certification: 
    • Board Certified Music Therapist,  MT-BC OR Board Certified Art Therapist, ATR-BC is required
    • NYS Creative Arts Therapist License, is preferred
    • NY State Driver’s License, is required

Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with other educators to plan and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual needs of students. This role involves creating a flexible and supportive environment where students can increase their motor skills, sensory processing and functional abilities. The therapist will work in various educational settings, providing individualized and group therapy to students based on their IEP needs.

• Salary Pay Rate: $72,000- $91,000
• Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum Experience: 1-2 years teaching experience.
  • Required License/Certification: 
    • Current New York State Occupational Therapy License and Registration
    • Valid NYS Driver’s License

Social Worker School Counselor

The Social Worker is responsible for providing high quality support and services for the children we serve and their families. They utilize effective communication and interaction skills with students, children, families, team members, and outside professionals to promote success and help those we serve achieve the highest possible quality of life. This position will have shared responsibility for daytime, evening, and weekend hours

• Salary Pay Rate: $72,000- $85,000
• Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: Master`s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counselin
  • Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children with developmental disabilities and their families in a Social Work or Mental Health setting.  This may include an internship.
  • Required License/Certification: 
    • Valid NYS Driver’s License
    • Must have one of the following NYS Licensure: LMSW/LCSW/LMHC/LMHC-P or;
    • NYS Professional Licensure eligible and obtain licensure within 6 months from date of hire   

Salary : $62 - $85
