We are looking for One to One Support Staff to join our Education Team in our Victory Learning Center Program for students ages 5-21 in Lackawanna, NY (just 10 minutes south of Buffalo)! Our Victory Learning Center Program, operating two different schools, offers specialized educational services for students who are diagnosed with Autism or a Cognitive Disability paired with a mental health diagnosis.

Victory Learning Center will include working with students, 5 – 21 years old that are typically diagnosed on the Autism spectrum with mental health concerns and developmental or intellectual disabilities. This position will be assigned to one specific student and responsible for meeting their day to day supervision and support needs.
Essential Job Duties:
The 1:1 Support Staff must be able to successfully perform all essential functions of the position as follows:
The primary role of the 1:1 Support Staff is to provide ongoing support and supervision to one assigned student. This includes:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Associates Degree or Higher in Human Services, Special Education or related field
Experience:
Minimum Experience Required: 3-5 years in the development/implementation of behavior support plans with individuals who have developmental disabilities and/or mental health concerns.

Training Requirements:
The overall nature of the position is sedentary requiring little physical effort with occasional light physical exertion required. There is little, if any, exposure to environmental conditions.

- Hourly Rate: $23.00 - $29.58/hour, based on relevant years of experience

The primary role of the 1:1 Support Staff is to provide ongoing support and supervision to one assigned student. This includes:
- Running the student’s Behavior Intervention Plan or Student Support Plan.
- Remaining actively engaged with the assigned student throughout the school day.
- Supporting the student with their academic, ADL and vocational tasks.
- Engage with the student for their work and reinforcement plan.
- Monitoring the environment to ensure items in proximity of the student are appropriate.
- Maintaining student specific materials.
- Be trained on any student specific protocols by the Nurse of BCBA.
- Takes an active role in participating in and supporting a therapeutic and safe milieu.
- Develops a working knowledge of therapeutic interventions and interactions.
- Responsible for assistance with personal hygiene tasks, as required.
- Attends and participates in community meetings, team meetings, and debrief meetings.
- Any other duty as assigned by your supervisor.
- Computer skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
- Knowledge of basic sign language a plus, but not a requirement.

- Must demonstrate basic knowledge and competencies in Applied Behavioral Analysis

- All required agency trainings (including Applied Behavior Analysis, SCIP-R, Ukeru)
- All trainings required by programs in which you service individuals
