This role is responsible for product selection, inventory management, vendor relationships, merchandising, and showroom presentation to drive sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select and purchase furniture and mattress assortments based on customer demand and market trends.
- Manage inventory levels, product performance, and aged inventory.
- Negotiate with vendors and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Develop pricing, promotions, and merchandising strategies.
- Oversee showroom presentation and product placement.
- Ensure website product information, pricing, and inventory are accurate.
- Analyze sales and inventory data to make informed business decisions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Store Management.
Qualifications:
- Retail buying, merchandising, furniture, mattress, or related experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing inventory and vendor relationships.
- Ability to interpret sales and profitability reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems.
- Willingness to travel for markets, trade shows, and vendor meetings.
