Summary
Olsson Industrial Electric is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll and Accounts Receivable/Billings Specialist to join our accounting team. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for processing weekly payroll and managing customer invoicing, billings, and receivables for a busy industrial contracting operation. This position plays a key role in keeping our financial processes accurate, timely, and compliant.
Responsibilities:

- Process weekly payroll for field and office employees with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Review timecards, job codes, and payroll reporting.
- Coordinate with HR on new hires, terminations, and rate changes.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with quarterly and year-end reporting.
- Prepare and submit customer invoices according to project terms (time and materials, progress, or percent complete).
- Review contracts and change orders to ensure billings align with terms and documentation requirements.
- Post customer payments, maintain accurate AR records, and assist with collections as needed.
- Partner with project managers, controller and the CFO to ensure billings and cash flow stay on track.
Qualifications
- 3β5 years of payroll and accounts receivable experience, ideally in construction or industrial contracting.
- Knowledge of certified payroll, Davis-Bacon, and Oregon BOLI requirements.
- Familiarity with construction job cost accounting; experience with Viewpoint is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- A high level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Experience processing multi-state payroll.
- High school diploma required, associate degree or relevant certification is a plus
