Compliance Officer

Summary

Olsson Industrial Electric is seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Officer to ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across Oregon and Washington, and other states where employees reside or perform work. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is responsible for managing permits, licenses, tax obligations, and overall regulatory compliance, supporting smooth and efficient business operations.

Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned.

• Manage business licenses, permits, and registrations.
• Oversee tax compliance, including payroll, sales, and income taxes in OR and WA.
• Conduct compliance audits and maintain regulatory records.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and provide staff guidance/training.
• Manage vehicle registrations, fleet compliance, annual driving records, and insurance certificates.
• Handle heavy vehicle permits and related regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required, associate degree or relevant certification a plus.
• Experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or auditing preferred.
• Knowledge of Oregon and Washington tax laws, permit, and licensing requirements preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with high attention to detail and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Salary: $50,000-$85,000, DOE
