We are looking for a Key Carrier to manage all aspects of the day-to-day operation of a specific department (Lawn & Garden, Paint, Hardware or Plumbing) and be in charge of the store in the Store Manager’s and/or Assistant Store Manager's absence.
The Key Carrier manager will follow the direction of the store manager and assistant manager. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that associates provide exceptional customer service, while achieving sales goals. The Key Carrier must be able to mix paint, cut keys, ring on the register and set planograms.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of retail management experience. Must be able to work flexible hours and days. This is a full-time hourly position.
Requirements
• Drive store sales by ensuring that all customers are acknowledged, customer projects needs are met, and concerns are resolved quickly.
• Enforces safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model.
• Must be proficient in merchandising and planograms.
• Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store.
• Stock shelves with back stock product and incoming freight for the day.
• Set and remove Ad prices for the appropriate sales and check for pricing accuracy.
• Help in other departments as assigned.
Experience
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.
• Able to drive a forklift is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
