Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and personable Associate Attorney to join our growing practice. This position offers hands-on experience, direct client interaction, and mentorship in multiple practice areas, with the opportunity to build long-term professional growth and leadership within a small firm environment.
Practice Areas
- Residential and commercial real estate transactions
- Estate planning (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives)
- Probate, trust and estate administration
- Business formation, purchases and sales, and general business matters
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients and provide legal advice under supervision as needed
- Draft and review legal documents, including estate planning documents, probate pleadings and corporate documents
- Oversee real estate closings and related documents and processes including title-related issues and documents
- Draft contracts, deeds, mortgages, leases, affidavits, settlement statements and other residential and commercial real estate documents
- Represent clients in probate and trust administration matters
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings and correspondence
- Collaborate closely with the firm’s managing attorney and staff
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar (or pending admission)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Professional, reliable, and client-focused demeanor
- Team-oriented attitude and collaborative work style
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience or coursework in real estate, estate planning, probate, or business law
- Familiarity with Florida real estate transactions
