As a Facility Support Technician / Operator, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery, equipment, and grounds within our 81k square foot fulfillment center. Your role is crucial in minimizing downtime, ensuring optimal performance, and supporting our production goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety.

What You'll Do:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems according to established schedules and protocols. Machines include, but are not limited to automated taping machines, conveyor belts, label application machines, Forklifts: sitdown, standup, reach truck, scissor lift, & electric pallet jacks
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems in a timely manner to minimize production downtime
• Conduct inspections and tests on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to address and resolve complex technical issues
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines including lock out tag out and arc flash protection to maintain a safe working environment
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery as needed
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge
• Technicians may be assigned to production tasks during downtime including driving a forklift, picking, packing, etc
• Build relationships and maintain contact with external repair and maintenance affiliates
• Perform general maintenance duties, including facility repairs on walls, doors, and floors
  
  
  

Who You Are:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proven experience as a Facility Support Technician / Operator or similar role, with a strong understanding of machinery, equipment, and systems
• Technical degree or certification in industrial or facilities maintenance is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
• Must be on call in the event of an emergency
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, and to work in various temperatures & environmental conditions
• Previous forklift certification required
