What are the responsibilities and job description for the DC Inventory Control Associate position at Ollie's Bargain Outlet?
Position Overview:
The Inventory Control department is responsible for the integrity and maintenance of all goods in the distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Reconciling goods received and delivered on a daily and weekly basis.
- Cycle Counting of merchandise and goods in the warehouse.
- Processing of damaged goods and merchandise.
- Assigning primary locations for goods and merchandise for product placement.
- Assist production planning team with next day’s product and merchandise flow.
- Break primary locations daily to assist with next day’s inbound production.
- Research SKUs to assist accounting department with weekly bill payment.
- Create daily projects for letdown/put away team.
- Assist Inventory Control Supervisor with any projects that develop to assist in daily production.
- Billing/crediting stores for goods.
- Additional responsibilities to be determined as business needs arise.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be accurate with attention to detail.
- Good communication with all team members.
- Ability to communicate with other departments, supervisors, other distribution center, and support center staff professionally.
- Must be able to work as a team with emphasis on individual goals.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and AS400.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (until work is done), including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to set for extended period of time at a desk.
- Ability to work on computer for extended period of time.
- Ability to bend and twist frequently.
- Ability to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.
- Ability to squat, kneel, balance, and climb occasionally.
- Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
- Must have ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures.
