Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation, with a focus on transporting materials safely and efficiently. This role is crucial for supporting various construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring that materials are delivered on time and in compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials to and from job sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including loaders and backhoes.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and materials transported.
- Collaborate with site supervisors to determine material needs and delivery schedules.
- Assist in the operation of other heavy equipment as needed, including water trucks, tankers, graders, and bulldozers.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment on job sites.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with dump trucks, water trucks, tankers, loaders, bulldozers, backhoes, and graders is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to transportation and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks associated with loading/unloading materials.
- Current DOT physical.
