Duties
- Prepare a variety of deli foods with precision and care, including slicing meats and cheeses, assembling sandwiches, and handling food safely.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as and Square to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage customer orders by providing friendly service, upselling products, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their shopping experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Handle cash register operations, processing cash transactions accurately while balancing the register at shift end.
- Restock deli displays with fresh products, monitor inventory levels, and assist in food handling procedures to ensure freshness and quality.
- Support food safety management practices by adhering to sanitation protocols, proper food handling techniques, and safety guidelines.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or working in a quick service or fast-food restaurant environment is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently and handle customer inquiries professionally..
