Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various food processing equipment following safety and quality standards.
- Assist with packaging and labeling finished products accurately and efficiently.
- Follow strict sanitation and cleaning procedures to maintain a hygienic work environment in accordance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and other food safety protocols throughout all production activities.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and work areas, performing basic mechanical troubleshooting when necessary.
- Support inventory management by accurately recording production data and assisting with raw material handling.
- Use basic math skills to measure ingredients, check weights, and verify quantities during production processes.
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely when required to move raw materials or finished goods within the facility.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a food industry manufacturing or processing plant is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, and CGMP standards is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with sanitation procedures and food safety practices in a food processing environment.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with manufacturing equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, lifting moderate weights, and performing repetitive motions safely.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and data recording are essential.
