Press Operator Assistant - 3rd Shift
We are searching for an experienced Press Operator Assistant - 3rd Shift at our Feasterville facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The HW CI Press Helper supports the operation of Central Impression (CI) flexographic presses in a regulated medical packaging environment. This role assists in press setup, material handling, and execution of standardized work while ensuring compliance with QMS requirements, SOPs, and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist press operator with job setup, changeovers, and line clearance in accordance with SOPs and Work Instructions
Stage and verify raw materials, inks, plates, sleeves, and anilox rolls against work orders
Support ink management and viscosity checks per standard process controls
Perform cleaning of press components (anilox rollers, chambers, hoses) following validated procedures
Maintain 5S standards and ensure work area cleanliness and organization
Assist in in-process quality checks, including visual inspection and defect identification
Accurately complete required documentation (batch records, logs, inspection sheets) in compliance with QMS
Escalate any non-conformances, equipment issues, or safety concerns to the operator or supervisor
Support preventive maintenance (PM) activities as directed
Follow all GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements applicable to medical packaging production
Required Qualifications:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience in flexographic printing, converting, or regulated manufacturing preferred
Ability to read and follow SOPs, Work Instructions, and production orders
Basic mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
Good documentation practices (GDP) and quality mindset
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and support overtime as needed
