Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Manager will play a key role in growing and developing business within our existing customer base in the food packaging and equipment sector. This role focuses on strengthening relationships, identifying upsell opportunities, and ensuring customers have the solutions they need. Working within the commercial team, including Outside Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers, Field Service Technicians, Parts & Service Team, and Marketing, this position is critical to achieving customer satisfaction and driving revenue growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Account Management:
    • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers to ensure long-term satisfaction and retention.
    • Proactively reach out to customers to identify additional needs, introduce new products or services, and resolve any issues.
  • Sales Growth:
    • Identify and execute opportunities to upsell and cross-sell within the existing customer base.
    • Collaborate with your sales team to develop tailored solutions for customers, contributing to overall revenue goals.
  • Collaboration with the Commercial Team:
    • Work closely with Outside Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers, and Field Service Technicians to coordinate efforts and share customer insights.
    • Partner with the Parts & Service Team to ensure seamless after-sales support and customer service.
    • Collaborate with Marketing to execute campaigns targeted at existing customers and drive engagement.
  • Customer Support:
    • Provide product information and pricing details to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities in the CRM system.
    • Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance and customer feedback to the VP of Customer Care.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Proactive and results-driven, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • At ease establishing business relationships with individuals from various industries and at various corporate levels
  • Requires logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Effective, constructive daily communication with the sales team.
  • Strong understanding of food packaging and equipment markets, including key trends and challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Expertise with CRM, MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or account management, preferably in the food packaging, equipment, or manufacturing industries.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
This position offers a flexible, hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work. While much of the work can be performed remotely, the Inside Sales Manager may be required to work on-site as needed. On-site work will take place in a professional office environment, where the individual will interact with team members, collaborate across departments, and engage in meetings to support the company’s goals. The hybrid nature of this role provides flexibility while ensuring alignment and engagement with office-based teams and resources.

Travel Requirements:
This position requires approximately 5% travel annually, primarily to attend industry trade shows and/or conferences. Travel will be primarily domestic, covering various regions within the United States. All travel will be planned in advance and aligned with business needs.

Compensation:
Posted base plus commission.
