What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Clerk position at Oliver Middle School?
The clerk is vital to the successful running of Oliver Middle School. The clerk is often the first person that families and the public see, and ensures that the building runs smoothly, and supports the Principal in ensuring effective operations of the building. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Welcomes people to the building, serves as receptionist
2. Answers incoming calls, transfers as necessary and takes messages.
3. Photocopies as needed.
4. Keeps up-to-date database inventories for equipment and materials
5. Sends out materials to building or individuals on request.
6. Prepares memos, letters and reports as needed.
7. Keeps a file of documents.
8. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be
assigned or delegated from time to time.
