Oliver Mechanical Inc. is a leading commercial mechanical contractor in New Hampshire. We are seeking a Videography & Photography Summer Intern to enhance our corporate communications with new imagery and video assets.
The intern will work with leadership to plan the targeted shot list. They will visit active construction sites, offices, warehouses, and other meetings and events to capture video and photography. They will film and edit interviews with select team members. They will refine their output based on feedback from leadership and present a library at the end of their internship.
This internship offers real-world commercial experience, including access to an active commercial construction environment and the opportunity to work directly with business leaders. The intern will walk away with a professional portfolio of work that will be used in corporate communications.
This role is a part-time summer internship. It is a paid position. It is estimated to be a 10-15 hours per week commitment over the course of 8-12 weeks, depending on school schedule and business needs. Due to the nature of construction scheduling, it will require schedule flexibility. It reports to the Head of Corporate Operations and works closely with the Office Manager.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Corporate Operations to finalize a shot list. Collaborate with the Office Manager and other staff to plan and execute shoots
- Travel to a variety of locations to capture photos (live action & posed) and videos of office operations and job site activities, to include action shots, candids, and interviews with selected employees
- Present raw photo and video files, recommending selections for use in corporate communications
- Retouch and edit raw materials into assets that meet corporate communications needs
- Deliver a clean, user-friendly library of all the approved and edited work as well as all raw footage
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a program in photography, videography, media, or a related field
- Share a portfolio of relevant work for review upon applying
- Self-starter, able to structure and execute work independently and on time
- Takes a collaborative approach and is open to feedback
- Communicates clearly and professionally across channels to a variety of individuals
- Comfortable working safely in an active construction environment and wearing required safety gear. Safety training will be provided
- Available during weekday business hours. Hours and scheduling will vary week-to-week and be discussed and confirmed based on project needs and applicable labor guidelines
- Provide own photography, videography, and editing equipment. Stipend available to supplement materials needs
- Valid driver's license or reliable transportation to travel to multiple job site locations per day. Provide own transportation. Willing to travel within NH
