Fund Controller - Real Estate

Our client, a leading Real Estate firm, is looking for a Real Estate Controller to join and grow there internal team. Our client works on a hybrid basis in downtown Chicago, offers competitive compensation, comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes and create financial statements.
• Handle reporting requirements and assist with audits and taxes.
• Review property management statements, investment accounting info monthly and ensure accuracy in bank reconciliations.
• Manage internal Junior team and review junior team members' work.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Track investor cash transactions
• Improve financial reporting and client services.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA preferred or looking to pursue
• Experience in real estate, private equity or public accounting and international tax.
