Location: Raleigh/Durham, NC (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Position Summary:
The Finance Reporting Manager will oversee the preparation and submission of financial statements in compliance with GAAP for a life insurance company. This role involves leading a team, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating with various departments, and driving process improvements in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).

• Ensure accurate, timely reporting to senior management and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with actuarial, legal, and operational teams to gather and validate data.

• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards, including ASC 944, and maintain SOX internal controls.

• Manage external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.

• Identify and implement reporting process improvements, including system automation.

• Ensure accurate data integration from ERP and financial systems (e.g., Oracle).

• Work with IT and data teams to ensure data integrity and security.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• CPA highly preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
