Commercial Health Actuary- Underwriting

An innovative health insurer seeking a Commercial Health Actuary to join them across core actuarial work and underwriting.

Within this role you will be the ‘go to individual to connect underwriting and actuarial assumptions. You will evaluate and underwrite new business and renewal opportunities for large group fully insured commercial health plans and interpret and analyze underlying claims experience to inform underwriting decisions and policy adjustments.

Role Requirements

• ASA/FSA credentialed actuary
• Commercial health insurance underwriting specifically large group health insurance underwriting for fully insured business
• Familiarity with underwriting software and tools
  
  

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and innovative business in a none-typical actuarial role, working closely with the Head of Actuarial Service and other senior stakeholders. Working within a relatively small team, you will quickly establish yourself as a subject matter expert and the trusted ‘go to’ across both actuarial and underwriting service lines.
