What you’ll handle
- Set up, adjust, and run die‑cutting equipment, including stripping and blanking processes.
- Complete make‑readies efficiently; pull and approve samples against job specs and die lines.
- Monitor quality throughout the run and maintain accuracy across paperboard substrates (SBS, CCNB, Kraft, etc.).
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor mechanical repairs to keep equipment production‑ready.
- Operate safely, efficiently, and collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment.
- Experience as a Die‑Cutting Operator/Pressman within printing, packaging, or folding carton.
- Hands‑on with steel rule dies, counter plates, make‑ready materials, and stripping/blanking tooling.
- Strong knowledge of paperboard behavior and its impact on cutting, scoring, and creasing.
- Comfort reading job tickets, CAD layouts, die lines, and quality specifications.
- Proven ability to execute accurate make‑readies with minimal supervision.
- Mechanical aptitude and solid troubleshooting skills on die‑cut machinery.
- Familiarity with Bobst, Heidelberg, or comparable platforms (preferred).
- Strong math and measurement skills for tight tolerances.
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work safely in manufacturing.
- Team‑first attitude and dependable work ethic.
