Senior Security Technician

This position is accountable for the proper and timely design layout, installation, repair, programming, inspection, and certification of electronic security systems in a manner that meets or exceeds budget, maximizes profits, ensures compliance with project specifications and contract documents, and ensures complete customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

• Proper and timely installation of commercial electronic security systems including access control, IP video, Intrusion Alarm, and other low voltage systems, to include installation of wire and devices, terminations, programming, troubleshooting and repair, and design-layout to ensure quality work, client satisfaction and profit objectives.
• Perform required programming of Access Control, IP-based Video, Intrusion Alarm, and other low voltage systems per specifications and design while meeting all customer and code requirements.
• Perform as a Project Lead, in an unsupervised manner while directing less experienced technicians. Plan and stage materials, manage time and jobsite efficiently.
• Communicate all change order opportunities to the project manager in a timely manner.
• When required, perform troubleshooting and repair service on Access Control, IP-based Video, Intrusion Alarm, and other low voltage systems in a timely, professional, and high-quality manner.
• Complete and process all project documentation and/or service reports, updating design drawings, etc. in a thorough, neat, and timely manner upon project completion.
• Present self to all customers in a professional manner to help create and maintain good customer relations.
• Consult with salespeople on project technical requirements for accurate proposals.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Knowledge of electronic security, access control, IP video, and other low voltage systems along with a working knowledge of the industry and competitive brands.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Highly motivated and success driven.
• Must have ability to handle a variety of situations encountered and be disciplined enough to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background verification check.
• Payscale is Dependent upon Experience, Education and Certifications held**
