Oliver Day School is looking for an Infant Teacher to join our team. We are a well-established and highly regarded Early Childhood Center. We have been serving the Easy Bay, RI community for over 50 years. We are well known for our high quality care and our great customer service. We will provide all needed training in addition to a well-developed program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children between ages 6 Weeks to 1 years old. You will provide care that is consistent with our philosophy of "Positive Child Development."You will also enjoy the company culture of Oliver Day School which is collaborative and supportive.
Duties include:
Develop an ongoing relationship with each child through interactive games and education
- Encourage children to interact with each other through friendly play
- Provide a variety of educational materials to children, including stories, songs, activities, and crafts
- Create learning experiences that are unique and engaging
- Maintain the safety and well-being of each child by enforcing our safety policies, promoting independent living, acting as a role model, and providing positive emotional support
- Use the Center’s playroom for various activities such as indoor or outdoor games, coloring, painting, etc.
- Perform various administrative duties such as booking teachers, scheduling appointments, processing payments, etc.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in childcare or other related fields; ABA certified preferred (not required)
- Passionate and energetic; Great communication skills both verbal and written; Able to build meaningful relationships with children and staff
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred
