Position: Preschool DirectorSchedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM
Pay Rate: Starting $22.50
Owners note:
Ms. Kelly is seeking the right candidate to help her lead the school that God has built. She founded Olive Tree Day School in 2017 out of her home, and God has continued to grow and bless His school ever since. We are now serving 61 students with a team of 8 dedicated staff members.
As a mother of two young boys, ages 4 and 7, Ms. Kelly is prayerfully trusting that God will bring the right person to join our team and fill this important role.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced Preschool Director to lead our Christian early childhood program. The ideal candidate will have proven preschool director experience, a strong understanding of California Title 22 and Title 5 regulations, and a passion for creating a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered learning environment. This individual will serve as a spiritual and professional role model for staff, children, and families.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Oversee daily preschool operations in accordance with CA Title regulations.
- Support teachers and assist with maintaining smooth, safe classroom operations.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety standards.
- Manage school records, files, and necessary documentation.
- Provide staff supervision, coaching, and ongoing training.
Communication & Community
- Foster strong, positive communication with parents, staff, and students.
- Conduct tours for prospective families and manage enrollment processes.
- Create and distribute a monthly school newsletter.
- Assist with marketing efforts to help promote the school’s mission and programs.
Christian Leadership
- Demonstrate a personal walk with Jesus and model Christ-like character in daily interactions.
- Support the spiritual development of students and staff through Christian principles and values.
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 Child Development units and 6 ECE Administration units (required). College degree preferred.
- Experience as a preschool director or in a similar leadership role.
- Thorough knowledge of CA Title 22 & Title 5 regulations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPR/First Aid certified (current).
- Mandated Reporter certified.
- Commitment to Christian education and ability to reflect the love of Christ in words and actions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with marketing, newsletters, or family engagement.
- Ability to build strong relationships with families and staff.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
