We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Team Lead to oversee the order fulfillment process within our ecommerce operations. This role reports to the Warehouse Manager and is responsible for supervising the fulfillment team while ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient processing, packaging, and shipping of customer orders. The ideal candidate will thrive in a leadership role, maintaining inventory accuracy and workflow organization to meet the demands of a growing business. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM with optional overtime possible during the holiday season.
Key Responsibilities:
- E-Commerce Order Fulfillment: Oversee the accuracy and efficiency of the picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders in accordance with the company’s ecommerce fulfillment goals and guidelines.
- Team Supervision: Lead and support the fulfillment team; delegate daily tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure performance standards are met.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels; oversee inventory counts, restocking, and organization of product storage.
- Shipping & Receiving: Unload, inspect, organize, and process inventory from incoming shipments; ensure outgoing packages are properly labeled and loaded with contracted couriers.
- Quality Control: Check orders for accuracy and quality before dispatching to customers; provide feedback to management for areas of improvement.
- Workflow Organization: Manage product storage and placement for optimal workflow; ensure fulfillment area, shelves, and workstations are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, stretch wrap machines, and hand trucks when necessary.
- Problem Solving: Communicate effectively with management to address and resolve any issues related to the fulfillment team, quality control, order discrepancies, damaged items, or inventory shortages.
- Collaboration: Work with other team members in customer service, sales, and procurement to ensure fulfillment aligns with customer expectations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in fulfillment or ecommerce operations and supervising others (2 years preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping & inventory software such as ShipStation, ShipHero, Brightpearl, Ordoro, etc. (2 years preferred).
- CRM & Communication: Basic knowledge of CRM tools and internal communication software.
- Team Oversight: Experience supervising a team of at least 4 personnel and knowledge of team and individual performance benchmarks and reporting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods throughout the day.
