Job Overview
Olive Juice is an all-day café taking root at 354 Divisadero Street in San Francisco — a gathering place built around seasonal, responsibly sourced food that nourishes the body and creates connection. We're opening in phases, starting as a Café trailer and patio, with a full restaurant café to follow in the next couple of months.
We're looking for Baristas who want to help build that place from the ground up: people who take pride in hospitality, food safety, and doing small things well, and who are excited to grow with a new restaurant concept from day one.
Hours of operation: 8am-2pm
Location: 354 Divisadero Street, San Francisco, CA
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate SQUARE POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling and beverage preparation stations, adhering to food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, process payments, and give correct change using cash handling best practices.
- Restock supplies as needed, monitor inventory levels, and assist with food preparation when required.
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service background is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with café operations and beverage service techniques.
- Experience using Square POS a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Excellent time management to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper cleaning procedures in a food service setting.
- Comfortable opening and closing the cafe.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 37.5 per week
