Job Title: Professional Counselor – Teens and Adults
Location: Olive House Counseling, Roanoke, TX
Job Type: Part-Time, 15-20 hours/week with room for growth
Compensation: $60-65/hour
Overview:
Olive House Counseling, a leading provider of mental health services in Roanoke, TX, is seeking a fully licensed mental health clinician (LPC, LCSW or LMFT) with experience working with adolescents and adults. The ideal candidate will join our dynamic team to provide high-quality therapeutic services to teenagers and adults, helping them navigate emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.
To help as many families in our community as we can, we are an insurance-based practice. We believe mental health care should be accessible, and insurance is one way we can meet that need. Candidates must be fully licensed Clinicians who are eligible to be enrolled with insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual counseling sessions for adolescents and adults.
- Assess clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to address a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral problems, and family dynamics.
- Collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in play therapy and adolescent counseling.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with adolescents and adults in a therapeutic setting.
- Have at least one niche market for counseling services.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a private practice or clinical setting.
- Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and approaches for treating adolescents, as well as unique training in trauma preferred.
