Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Support Specialist Supervisor to join our team. This role is essential in providing supervision for assigned Caregiver Support Specialists and Case Aides. Duties include attending all meetings related to cases including weekly caregiver support specialist meeting and staffings. Ensure appropriate levels of care and support to achieve optimal physical, emotional, social and safety outcomes for foster youth/children and their caregivers. Provide daily supervision for Caregiver Support Specialists through oversight, clinical consultation, review of clinical reports and Caregiver Support Plans, and auditing of case files as needed. Monitor daily operations of Caregiver Support program as appropriate including assignment of caseloads and staff productivity. Evaluate the services provided and outcomes achieved by the team. Establish and oversee caregiver support specialist training to ensure compliance with Caregiver Support contract, COA and WAC requirements. Assist as needed with carrying a caseload.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Be available to Caregiver Support Specialists for regular staffing needs, review and approve quarterly reports, treatment plans, safety and supervision plans as well as Serious Incident Reports. Conduct performance evaluations as directed by Olive Crest policy.

2. Cultivate contacts and relationships with outside agencies and individuals that have both direct and indirect bearing on the case.

3. Regularly facilitate one-on-one and group supervision, utilizing reflective supervision skills, to develop clinical knowledge and skills, promote self-awareness, encourage collaboration amongst team members, and ensure consistent communications between staff and leadership.

4. Respond to and attend to details of crisis situations that may arise during working and non-working (on call) hours.

5. Coordinate and assist with hiring and training of new Caregiver Support Specialists and Case Aides.

6. Attend leadership meetings and PNW supervisory meetings as scheduled.

7. Participate in applicable training through Olive Crest, DCYF/LD, or private sector. Ensure Child and Family Specialist staff meet ongoing training requirements and maintain training logs.

8. Lead weekly Caregiver Support Specialist and program staff meetings and document clinical log notes.

9. Review and approve timecards, vacations and pre-approve over-time as needed. Help coordinate coverage for vacations or leaves.

10. Carry a small caseload to meet the needs of the program which will change over time as the program evolves. Assess and support youth and families with Case Aide Services and/or Caregiver Support Services as assigned and described in the Caregiver Support Specialist and Case Aide job descriptions.

11. Assist the Program Director in managing Caregiver Support Specialist budget and expenses

12. Monitor, manage, and assign staff caseloads, setting and adjusting work to be accomplished by both Caregiver Support Specialists and Case Aide staff.

13. Oversee, support, and assist in developing the Case Aide team including training, supervision, evaluation, and promotion of staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A Master's degree in social services or a closely related field OR

2. Bachelor's degree in social services or a closely related field AND two (2) years of documented experience working with children or youth in one of or a combination of the following settings:

  • State licensed in-home or facility-based daycare, or professional nanny
  • School setting or early learning center
  • Mental Health Hospital
  • Juvenile Rehabilitation facility, detention center, law enforcement, or corrections
  • A child placing agency, residential care program, or as a licensed foster parent
  • Conducting supervised visits
  • Working as staff directly with children or families in a community service organization

3. Proficient Microsoft suit computer skills.

4. Demonstrated ability to organize, plan and follow through with assigned tasks and to present oneself in a mature and professional manner and able to work independently.

5. Willing to work evenings and weekends in order to meet with families and/or staff who are unable to meet during regular working hours.

6. Ability to demonstrate initiative, discretion, maturity, flexibility, and independent judgement.

7. Strong knowledge of the WACs related to foster licensing is preferred.

8. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

9. Professional and/or lived experience in foster care, child welfare, or social services is required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Master’s Degree in a related field.

2. Experience in a culturally diverse workplace

3. Previous experience with aspects of clinical supervision and/or program management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
