Duties
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning
- Support classroom management by maintaining organized and stimulating environments for children
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily needs
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or welfare
- Provide basic first aid and CPR when necessary, adhering to pediatric first aid standards
- Support children with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine care needs in compliance with health guidelines
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Classroom experience involving behavior management and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with pediatric first aid and CPR certification is advantageous
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and team members in a professional manner
