Freight Clerk Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist with timely and accurate response to proof of delivery requests, invoice submission to Freight Payables, and customer service or stakeholder inquiries.
- Review of all unplanned truck accessorial freight invoices for payment authorization, research, and any payment shortages for resolution or escalation.
- Generate invoices for truck accessorial charges according to customer & contract specifications and prepare and distribute related cost and recovery reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including dispatch, customer service and technical services, to ensure understanding and alignment of requirements and priorities.
- Prioritize work and shifting department demands, delivering on daily responsibilities and special projects, with a working knowledge of current Olin products, plan production rates, and shipping capabilities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of professional office experience; transportation or chemicals industry experience preferred.
- Prior experience in billing, collections, or customer service preferred.; 3PL experience strongly preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) with strong, demonstrated understanding and use of Excel.
- Highly adaptable and self-motivated; able to identify and prioritize actions to manage multiple, shifting priorities while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; Team player with customer-focused mentality.

- Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent program from an international university.
