Field Service Technician – East Coast
An industry-leading provider of advanced water treatment and disinfection technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers throughout the East Coast region. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, customer interaction, and travel.

In this position, you will provide both on-site and remote technical support for installed systems, including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, installations, and customer training. You will serve as a key technical resource and primary point of contact for customers requiring support and system optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and identify root causes of system failures
- Perform troubleshooting, analysis, and repair of electrical, electronic, and software-based systems
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers
- Support system installations, commissioning, and preventative maintenance activities
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for customer support inquiries
- Assist customers with manuals, technical documentation, and step-by-step operational guidance
- Conduct customer training on equipment operation and maintenance
- Inspect wiring and electrical components for compliance with specifications and local codes
- Utilize remote access tools and PC-based software to analyze system performance and operational data
- Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency and customer support processes
- Ensure safe work practices and promptly address unsafe conditions
- Support long-term customer satisfaction through strong technical and service capabilities
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from a technical school, college, or equivalent technical training
- 1-5 years of field service experience; water industry experience is highly preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Experience working with electrical and electronic systems
- Familiarity with networking, software applications, and remote diagnostics tools
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, P&IDs, and electrical schematics
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to translate non-technical customer concerns into actionable solutions
- Experience presenting service offerings or maintenance agreements is a plus
- Willingness to travel throughout the East Coast region as needed
