Title: Mechanical Engineer 6-Month Co-Op (January-June or June-December)
Location: McIntosh, AL
Salary: $30.00 / hour
Housing Stipend Available
What You'll Do:
- Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects throughout the term, to be defined at the beginning of the rotation based on department and business need.
- Provide reliability leadership for rotating (pumps, compressors) and fixed (heat exchangers, piping systems, and process tanks) equipment
- Support maintenance in development of policies and procedures for preventative and predictive maintenance
- Participate in plant turnarounds, update P&IDs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What You'll Bring:
- Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering degree program
- Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations.
- Must have completed sophomore year (or 60 completed credit hours) prior to first rotation with Olin
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) during rotation; Not eligible for virtual work
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
