What are the responsibilities and job description for the Classified Long-Term Substitute Intervention Aide-Preschool position at Olentangy Local School District?
There is a Preschool Long Term Sub position available within the Olentangy Preschool Program. The hours are Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. The role of the long-term sub is to provided support to a variety of preschool classrooms to support the preschool teacher, the preschool assistant and the students in the classroom. Our preschool classrooms have a variety of student needs, with many students receiving special education services. These students display special needs with delays in a variety of areas (i.e. communication, fine motor, gross motor, medical, physical and/or sensory needs)
The long-term sub role is designed to support the teacher by assisting with preparation of classroom lessons and materials, support student needs throughout the class period (i.e., bathroom/diapering needs, behavior support, set-up for snack, instructional support, data collection, support the teacher's needs).
Qualified candidates must hold or be eligible for valid and appropriate licensure for each position with the Ohio Department of Education (ODE).
