Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong understanding of dental procedures. This role involves assisting the dentist during various treatments, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and safe environment in compliance with infection control protocols. The Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience while supporting the overall efficiency of the dental team.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials according to established protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix .
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure proper sterilization of instruments.
- Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging as required.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional care in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices is essential.
- Proficiency in using dental software Softdent.
- Understanding of dental coding, dental documentation, and dental records management is beneficial.
- Experience with 3D scanners and pediatric dentistry is advantageous but not mandatory.

Base Pay: $22.88 - $30.00 per hour
