Medical Office Assistant - Float pool

***MUST BE A GRADUATE OF A MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT PROGRAM***

Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Answer multi-line phone, take thorough messages, communicate messages to the appropriate person. Ability to answer phones in a timely and professional manner.

2. Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments. Communicates appointment date and times to the patients.

3. Follows established guidelines for documentation.

4. Notifies patients of missed appointments via No-Show letter.

5. Participates in pre-visit planning, updates recommendation section in EHR, immunization records, identifies gaps in care for quality measures

6. Assists in care coordination for referrals, preventative screenings, and PE/AWV scheduling

7. Ensures appropriate in office testing has been charted and charged for correctly. Works with business office staff to ensure timely billing

8. Addresses incoming/outcoming mail, faxes, messages in a timely manner

9. Assist in other clerical duties within the office

10. Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

11. Works as a team member of the OMP care providers and communicates in a professional manner with everyone.

12. Completes all education programs and attends in-services

13. Supports the OMG vision statement, maintains current awareness of the OMP employee manual and is aware of facility guidelines.

14. Maintains strict HIPAA privacy and confidentiality of all patient and facility information.

15. Adheres to OMP smoke free environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.25 - $20.00 per hour
