What are the responsibilities and job description for the Independent Fried Pie Distributor position at Ole Time Fried Pies?
We are seeking motivated independent distributors to deliver and sell our fresh fried pies to stores, markets, convenience stores, and truck stops throughout Virginia in areas we are not currently selling our pies. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working independently, building relationships with customers, and growing a route over time. Our hope is to establish long-term partnerships with distributors who are excited about this opportunity. This is not a traditional delivery job.
Requirements
- *Reliable delivery vehicle with large cargo area*
- Strong air conditioning required to maintain product quality during warm weather
- Friendly, dependable, and self-motivated
- Integrity and Professional ethics
- Ability to build relationships with store owners/managers
- Delivery or sales experience is helpful but not required
Examples of acceptable vehicles include cargo vans, minivans, large SUVs, or enclosed delivery vehicles - all of which need to include working air conditioning in cargo area.
What You’ll Do
- Purchase / Pick up fried pies here at our location in Timberville at distributor pricing
- Deliver to the same stores twice weekly on the same days each week.
- Build relationships with truck stops, convenience stores, and local markets
- Restock displays and maintain inventory
- Grow your territory and customer base
Compensation
*Independent distributor profits are based entirely on the difference between distributor purchase cost and wholesale sales.* The more locations you build and maintain, the greater your earning potential. We do not guarantee any set earnings per week.
Distributors are expected to maintain reliable delivery schedules, professional store relationships, proper food handling standards, and payment on pickup for wholesale product purchases. Successful distributors develop and maintain their own customer routes and relationships, with the goal of building a stable, long-term business serving their territory.
