Role Description
- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, logistics, and supply chain processes. This role is critical in ensuring efficient operations for shipping and receiving, and effective team management to meet organizational and departmental goals.
- This is a full-time, on-site role for a Warehouse Manager at Ole Smoky's production plant in Newport, TN.
Responsibilities
- Strategically manage all warehouses in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
- Maintains and enforces safe working environment for all personnel, truck drivers and visitors that work or travel through the warehouse.
- Manages and oversees all aspects of the receiving, shipping, and warehousing operations.
- Ensures the safe and effective use of warehouse equipment, while keeping all equipment maintained.
- Ensures all inbound, outbound and intra company shipments are recorded appropriately into MRP system; outbound & inbound shipments are shipped/received in full, correctly and are timely.
- Works with the supply chain department to ensure inventory levels are accurate and sufficient; performs physical counts as needed and requested.
- Manages and maintains the warehouse staff by training employees as needed.
- Engages in day to day communication and email correspondences with various departments throughout the company.
- Perform other additional duties regarding the warehouse, as needed.
- Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends as business requires. Be available by phone after hours for employee emergency situations/questions.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 5 years relevant experience in warehousing, specifically in the food and beverage inventory.
- Experience with an ERP/MRP system, preferably NetSuite or any other oracle-based systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration.
- Ability to be proactive, take initiative and adapt to change quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and organize multiple projects at once.
- Ability to problem solve difficult situations using sound judgement.
- Communicates and has ability to work effectively with multiple teams and can provide leadership.
- Forklift Certified
Physical demands & work environment
- Regularly required to sit and work on a computer.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or listen to others.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- May lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
