**Orthodontic Assistant**
Part time position - ranging from 4-6 days per month. Perfect for someone who only wants part time work or for supplementing an additional job.
**Duties:**
- Assist orthodontists in providing patient care and treatment
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Assist with orthodontic procedures, including placing brackets and wires
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records (EHR)
**Skills:**
- Proficient in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques for dental x-rays
- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Epic
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
