District Technology Specialist

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or high school equivalency diploma
- Forty hours of training in technology (i.e. Microsoft Windows 7 or later, Databases, Windows Server 2012 R2 or later, others)
- Training in Server and/or Network Administration
- Have knowledge of hardware and software on both Windows and Apple platforms
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of groups
- Demonstrated ability to provide service to network, computers and printers
- A Certification
- Certification in area of specialty
- Must be able to lift, push or pull 40 pounds and also be able to bend at the waist, kneel and reach above your head
- Complete installation, management, updating and troubleshooting of software and hardware (including servers, computers, printers, installation of software, etc.) within the district as assigned
- Provide server and network maintenance and upgrades (including but not limited to Windows, VMware and SQL)
- Coordinate parts purchasing through Tech administrative assistant
- Organize and maintain wired and wireless networks
- Maintain and update servers, switches, routers, wireless access points and related software
- Provide troubleshooting support for schools
- Maintain and provide support for the setup, installation and management of district-wide digital media and security products and services
- Implement district-wide technology vision, plans, direction and growth in compliance with guidelines
- Other duties assigned by the District Infrastructure and Hardware Coordinator
