SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for using CNC machining centers to produce machined components.
The ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of the CNC Machinist III include but are not limited to…
1. Adheres to all applicable ISO standards, procedures, and work instructions.
2. Run multiple machines if cycle times allow
3. Read part prints and understand job traveler
4. Load raw materials into the CNC machines to produce parts
5. Monitor machine operation to detect any problems or errors
6. Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications
7. Perform routine maintenance on machines and replace any tools as needed
8. Load part programs from offline programming
9. Modify tool/workpiece offsets in the program
10. Perform basic part set ups
11. Understand Geometrical Dimensioning &Tolerancing
12. Set-up and use measuring instruments
13. Have advanced understanding of G and M Code
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to CNC Coordinator.
EDUCATION or skills preferred:A high school diploma and vocation school experience in related industry. Good Mathematics skills. Possess normal compliment of machinist grade tools and other personnel hand tools. Good mechanical inclination, finger and arm dexterity skills, stand or walk, lift/move 50 lbs are required. Familiar with forklift operation. Knowledge of Fanuc, Mazatrol, and or Hurco a plus. Knowledge of Mastercam plus.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
