What you'll do
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries and managing account reconciliations.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and assist with cash flow analysis to ensure financial stability.
- Collaborate with team members on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Participate in audits and regulatory reporting to ensure adherence to securities law and other compliance requirements.
- Engage in mentoring opportunities to develop your skills in corporate finance, public accounting, and non-profit accounting.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and accrual accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation.

- Experience with financial software.
