What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker Night/Graveyard Shift position at Olde Tyme Pastries?
Seeking full-time experienced baker for night shift. This is a baking position, not decorating. Multiple years of on-the-job professional baking experience is required. This is job does require weekend work. and the hours are generally from about 10/11 pm to roughly 6/7 am sometimes earlier or later near holiday time.
Some of the job duties will include:
-weighing off ingredients
-running bakery equipment (mixers, scales, sheeter, ovens, etc)
-making a variety of puff pastries, breads (including those with starters), muffins, danish, scones, pies, cakes, cookies, and more
Our ideal candidate will:
-have several years professional baking experience (this does not include at home or hobby baking)
-be able to lift and move up to 100 lbs
-be able to maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment
-have the ability to multitask
-be proficient with professional bakery equipment (scales, mixers, sheeters, ovens, etc)
-be willing to learn and a self starter
-be punctual and reliable
-be able to start within a week or two.
As stated above, this is a night shift/graveyard position. Pay is negotiable pending skill and experience. This is not an entry level position.
