Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Fort Myers, FL, for a Sous Chef at Olde Hickory Golf and Country Club. Key responsibilities include assisting in menu planning and food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food quality control, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The Sous Chef will collaborate with the Executive Chef to deliver a superior dining experience for members and guests, while managing inventory, controlling costs, and supporting special events. This role also involves providing training and leadership to the kitchen team to maintain high culinary standards.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in cooking techniques, food preparation, and menu planning
  • Experience in kitchen management, supervising culinary staff, and workflow coordination
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation, and inventory control practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with the culinary team and other departments
  • Experience in upscale dining or country club settings preferred
  • Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management is a plus
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
