Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various cutting and fabrication machinery to produce precise components and assemblies. Your expertise will ensure that all materials are cut accurately, efficiently, and safely, contributing to the overall quality and productivity of our manufacturing process. Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of cutting machines including CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, stamping presses, and press brake machines to shape sheet metal and other materials.
- Program CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC laser cutters to meet specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection and measurement verification.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and tooling adjustments to optimize machine performance and part quality.
- Maintain safety standards by operating forklifts and cranes safely during material handling and loading/unloading processes.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal operation and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring parts meet quality standards before final assembly.
Experience
- Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as CNC laser cutting equipment, plasma cutters, stamping presses, press brakes, CNC mills, lathes, or similar equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and fabrication processes is a plus.
- Experience with quality inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to forklift operation, crane handling, and machining environments.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in machining tasks.
