What You'll Get to Do
The Operator in our Thermal Department is focused on operating equipment and reports to the Thermal Manager.
This role is perfect for an individual who has attention to detail . As a vital member of the P&D and Insulbar Departments, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
- Perform and document quality checks, report issues to Tech or Lead
- Assist Technician in locating and moving parts and strut for set ups
- Understand how to use Get Die and read prints.
- Read, and understand P&D Ontime report and be able to plan runs according to similarity of set up as well as understand late and on time importance per shipping schedules.
- Verify by die prints that all parts match and requirements of the assembly are met
- Loading and unloading completed parts
- Cut samples and conduct shear tests, record and store
- Make sure material has been properly counted and the proper tags are placed on the material
- Tape parts and cut strut when needed
What We Are Looking For
- Must be able to follow written instructions and tracking information
- Must have math skills required to compute ratio.
- Must have a high level of initiative – able to work independently
- Lifting of parts weighing as much as 50 pounds and a team lift of 150 pounds
- May need to occasionally need to determine and distinguish shades of color for quality verification
- Must be flexible to work in any department as needed.
