Job Summary:
The Kitchen Support Staff member plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the kitchen. This position assists chefs and kitchen staff in preparing meals, cleaning workstations, managing inventory, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Ideal candidates are reliable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness of all dishes, workstations, cooking equipment, and food storage areas in compliance with food safety regulations.

Prepare customer food orders using various kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, fryers, meat slicers, and food processors.

Perform opening and closing duties as assigned, including starting equipment and cleaning refrigeration units, grills, and other kitchen equipment.

Maintain kitchen organization and sanitation to meet Health Department regulations.

Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the Food Service Supervisor.

Restock kitchen supplies and ingredients throughout the shift.

Assist with unloading and storing food deliveries according to food safety standards.

Monitor menu inventory and notify the Kitchen Lead or Food Service Supervisor of any shortages.

Other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills & Work Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus.

Thorough knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

Team player with strong communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-temperature environment.
