Job Summary

Old Towne Car Wash is seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team and drive operational excellence. In this pivotal role, you will support store management in overseeing daily operations, leading sales teams, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager in managing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory control.
• Lead and motivate team to achieve sales targets through effective coaching, training, and performance management.
• Oversee customer service standards to ensure a welcoming environment that exceeds customer expectations.
• Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment, merchandising, and stock organization to maximize sales opportunities.
• Handle employee orientation, training & development initiatives to build a knowledgeable and engaged team.
• Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees.
• Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, pricing adjustments, and sales reporting while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and bookkeeping tasks.
• Supervise shift management activities including scheduling, task delegation, and ensuring operational efficiency during peak hours.
• Implement merchandising strategies aligned with company standards to enhance product presentation and store appearance.
• Maintain organizational skills to ensure compliance with safety protocols, policies, and inventory management procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in assistant management or supervisory roles particularly in sales team management or store operations, car wash or automotive is a plus but not required
• Strong skills in negotiation, sales and managerial communication to lead teams effectively.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases better.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pricing strategies, budgeting, and basic math skills for daily operations.
• Experience with POS systems, inventory management software, and operational tools such as cashiering systems.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership qualities with a focus on training & development, team management, and operational oversight.
• Strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette and customer service excellence
• Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
• Reliable, hands on, and detailed-oriented

Requirements

• Must be over 18, have valid driver's license
• Ability to work weekends
